Ok, I just wanted to let you in on a few DO’s and DONT’S of internet marketing. Simple tips that I am sure you will all find useful.
Why?
Because I like it when I see fellow marketers do it right, and sick of seeing people get it wrong with all of the awesome training out there. Most of it is common sense guys! As easy as A B C! No trickery involved! 
So here it goes!
DO build relationships with your prospects. People do business with people, not products.
DONT try to sell a product or promote your business opportunity the very first time that you meet someone. Just the other day, a new friend on Facebook immediately tried to sell to me by putting a link on my profile wall! Hey! I don’t even know you yet! Why would I want to buy from you?
DO have manners. Again, build relationships, learn to give without getting. It costs nothing!
DONT pretend to be a ‘Goo Roo’. Be honest and real. Heck! I have only been doing this for 6 months, I would not pretend to be an internet marketing genius! But with the best mentors, anything is possible!
DO check Alexa ranking to check if the website that you are on is a site worth your time and effort. Alexa basically gives you a ranking, the site with the highest combination of visitors and page views is ranked #1. I use “Sparky” – The Alexa Toolbar for Firefox. Check it out!
DONT forget your friends and family. One of the best reasons to start an online business is so you can spend more time with your friends and family.
DO work on your mindset. This is important to stay focused on your achievements without getting stressed. For my recommendations on personal development books click here.
DONT keep promoting your replicated site. Not cool guys. Seen it all before.
DO hide your affiliate links to products that you promote. An easy way is to use a tiny url.
DONT be afraid to pick up the phone. Phoning leads means that you are willing to reach out and help. Don’t be shy, they wont bite!
DO use social media sites for socializing. A lot of people are more interested in just trying to add as many people as they can on Facebook and Twitter. Pointless without interacting with them. I get a lot of people requesting me to be their friend but a lot of them cant even be bothered to say HI!
DONT worry if you cant speak the same language as your prospects. This is no problemo!
DO some videos. This gives people some idea of what kind of person you are. Do a video about yourself as an introduction. If you want to see mine, go to my Facebook profile.
DONT use a stupid email address. Be professional.
DO advertise locally. A lot of people think that it is a waste of time and that you should be concentrating on internet marketing. Well those people can kiss my ads! Advertising locally is a great way to build relationships because you can show them how to start from scratch in person.
DONT put all of your eggs in one basket. Multiple streams of income is the way forward.
DO think outside of the box. Be creative in your marketing and don’t just do the strategies that are recommended to you by your upline or company.
DONT use annoying pop ups on your websites. Although some people claim that they work, most people hate them and they might kick you in the testimonials!
DO listen! DONT shout!
DO keep organised. This is a proper business. Keep records of your prospects interests and contact details. Set yourself targets to reach. Stay focused.
DONT send the same email to your downline every couple weeks. It show’s lack of creativity.
DO your research. On keywords, prospects and on your market.
DONT scam! This is not polite. Customer service is important for repeat sales.
DO get a mobile phone that receives email. This will keep your finger on the pulse.
DONT be afraid to ask for help. You cant do this alone.
DO get straight to the point. Add value, and be an interesting person. Nobody enjoys watching a video or reading an email that goes on and on about nothing. Remember that peoples attention spams are short.
